In recognition of Emergency Preparedness, we would like to share our recently completed Community Risk Assessment. This assessment was part of a two-part project funded through a federal assistance to firefighters – fire prevention grant.
Part one consisted of a field inventory and assessment of all commercial occupancies. Part two involved the use of a consultant to identify hazards present, resources available and risk of fire, medical, natural disasters, and other emergencies. This comprehensive process allows us to define an overall risk profile, organizational vulnerabilities, identify areas of susceptibility and evaluate risk reduction strategies.
