Partnerships
The City of Eugene partners with many organizations to provide technical assistance to meet sustainability goals, and continues to encourage innovative, sustainable practices at local events by engaging attendees, event organizers, and sponsors to take action. Our We Can! sustainability engagement activities communicate these values by encouraging event attendees to Reduce Impacts, Build Community, and Be Healthy.
Sustainable events undertake Zero Waste efforts by increasing recycling and composting and utilize local resources such as Love Food Not Waste, Lane Transit District, Center for Appropriate Transport, and EWEB’s GreenPower program to reduce impacts related to waste generation, transportation, and energy use.
