Trade permits such as electrical, residential mechanical, and plumbing are now available through eBuild. You can now obtain a permit in a few easy steps:
Log into eBuild. If you don’t have an account yet, you may need to set up a new account. If you already have an account for scheduling inspections with the City of Eugene, you will use the same login credentials.
Download and complete the appropriate application.
Click on Start and upload the completed application. Click submit.
Intake staff will review your application within 3 business days. As soon as the application has been approved you will receive notice that fees can be paid online.
Once the fees have been paid, the permit will automatically be issued.
If you are a contractor performing residential work at one address that involves multiple trades, you can apply for a Residential Combo permit application. You will only be required to submit one application and one permit number will be issued for the work which will make tracking your projects easier.
Applying for your permits through eBuild will give you an easy way to manage your project. From your list of projects you will be able to schedule an inspection for your project without having to log into a separate application.
Our step-by-step guide will walk you through purchasing your permit online. Staff are also available to answer questions at 541-682-5505.
