Striker Field Park Development

Construction plans for this 8-acre park site include a large playground, restroom, open playing field, walking paths, parking, picnic shelter, spray play and an informal amphitheater for community gatherings. We plan to bid the project this fall and anticipate a fall 2022 completion date.

Additional improvements are planned for phase two which include three pickleball courts, basketball and petanque. The timing of phase two improvements is undetermined at this time.

Project Schedule - Updated 8/16/2021

As a result of fluctuating construction markets and bid prices, we are looking at options to make our projects more flexible and to attract more contractors to submit competitive bids on our projects. Our goal is to make the Striker Field Community Park budget go as far as possible. We plan to bid the project this fall and enter into a contract with the winning bidder. A longer construction window is expected with a final park opening date in the fall of 2022. Updates will be posted as they come in and we thank you for your patience in these unusual times.
