Ad Hoc Committee on Police Policy
Eugene City Council created the Ad Hoc Committee on Police Policy to review current police policies and make recommendations to the City Council for changes and improvements. The committee will focus on topics synthesized from the work of Campaign Zero and 21st Century Policing.
Final Report
The Ad Hoc Committee was charged with preparing and submitting a report to the City Council recommending policy changes to current police policy by April 30, 2021. See the final report:

Based on Council direction, the ad hoc committee consists of local organizations representing communities of color and marginalized populations as well as several City boards and commissions. The committee includes representatives from the following organizations:

- Human Rights Commission

- Trans*Ponder
There will also be representatives from community Indigenous People and four representatives appointed by Mayor Vinis. The Mayor and City Council members will serve as participants for the purpose of listening, learning, and asking questions to better understand the community concerns and the recommendations that come from the committee.
