Planning Internship Program

Be Part of Our Team!

Our Planning Internship Program offers competitive internships for current students and recent grads. Our internships provide opportunities to earn academic credit toward completion of a degree, develop and work on thesis projects, and gain practical skills in a professional environment.

Our interns have been involved in, and integral to the success of, a variety of planning related responsibilities and projects such as:

  • The historic preservation program
  • Urban Design projects
  • Urban growth boundary establishment (Envision Eugene)
  • Web development and design
  • Public outreach and participation
  • Development of design standards
  • Geographical information systems (GIS)
  • Land use application processing
  • Land use code updates
  • Natural resources

  • Cover letter stating your interests (Please be specific about why this internship interests you and how you feel you are qualified for the position.)
